The Chadian government has denied accusations that former Minister of State and government spokesperson, Abderaman Koulamallah, breached the confidentiality of official correspondence.

In an official statement issued on February 12, 2025, the Presidency of Chad clarified that Mr. Koulamallah did not disclose any state secrets, rejecting the allegations as false.

Reacting to the claims, Koulamallah dismissed them as “slander” and a deliberate attempt to damage his reputation, particularly in relation to Chad’s diplomatic decisions, including the withdrawal of French forces.

He reaffirmed that the country’s diplomatic procedures uphold strict confidentiality in international affairs.

The Chadian government has also warned against the spread of false information, particularly on social media, urging citizens and media outlets to rely only on official sources for accurate information regarding public affairs.
