Chairman Wontumi even knows that he is guilty- Asiedu Nketia

The chairman of the National Democratic Congress, Johnson Asiedu Nketia, widely known as General Mosquito, has reacted to the arrest of NPP bigwigs, including Chairman Wontumi.

Speaking in an interview on Ambassador TV sighted by GH Page, the chairman of the NDC noted that if Chairman Wontumi were a member of the NDC, he would have acted nonchalantly about his issue.

According to General Mosquito, it makes no sense for the NPP to rally behind Chairman Wontumi, knowing very well that he is guilty of the charges leveled against him.

“Assuming Chairman Wontumi were a member of the NDC and I was National Chairman, I would never mobilize party members to follow Wontumi, as NPP leaders are doing,” he stated.

Asiedu Nketia shared that Chairman Wontumi himself is aware that he is guilty, adding that the NPP rallying behind him would only make them lose the 2028 general election.

He added “The NPP should allow Chairman Wontumi to carry his own cross because he himself knows he is guilty. The way NPP leaders are handling Wontumi’s illegal mining issue will cost the party in the 2028 elections”.
