Cross River State Independent Electoral Commission (CROSIEC) has commenced the recruitment of ad-hoc staff who will perform various election duties for the 2024 Local Government Election.
According to a job advertisement release issued in Calabar and signed by the Secretary of CROSIEC, Dr Lawrence Edu, on Monday, the Commission accordingly requested suitably qualified members of the public with good knowledge of the various villages and local government areas to apply for vacant positions as CROSIEC ad-hoc staff job for the 26th October 2024 Local Government Election across the state.
The release listed the positions to include Returning Officers, Ward Collation Officers, Supervisory Presiding Officers, Poll Clerks, and Poll Orderlies.
The vacant Positions available and their qualifications are as follows:
I. Returning Officers
Qualification: Minimum of Master’s Degree with 10 years cognate experience, serving/retired Permanent Secretary or Director
Il. Ward Collation Officers
Qualification: Minimum of first degree with not less than 5 years experience, serving or retired Officer.
Ill. Supervisory Presiding Officers
Qualification: Minimum of first degree with not less than 5 years experience, serving officer of not less than GL.13 and above
IV. Presiding Officers
Qualification: Minimum of first-degree or serving Officer within the rank of GL. 8 and above
V. Poll Clerks
Qualification: SSCE or its equivalent/serving Officer with GL. 04 and above
VI. Poll Orderlies
Qualification: SSCE/serving Officer with GL. 04 and above.
How To Apply for the CROSIEC Ad-hoc Staff JobĀ
1. Officer, Poll Clerk and Poll Orderlies should submit their application at the various Local Government Electoral Offices across the 18 Local Government Areas
2. Returning Officers, Ward Collation Officers and Supervisory Presiding Officers should submit their applications at the Commission in Calabar.
