The Cross River State Independent Electoral Commission (CROSIEC) has declared Hon. Egbala Bassey as the winner of Abi Local Government Council election.
Bassey was declared winner and returned elected as the Chairman of Abi Local Government Area, having scored 26,265 valid votes, representing 85.95% of the total votes cast in the Saturday, November 2, 2024 Local Government Election.
The result and that of 17 other local government areas were announced by the Chairman of the Cross River State Independent Electoral Commission (CROSIEC), Dr Ekong Boco, on Sunday.
Bassey was officially sworn in with 17 other local government chairmen and 196 councillors by Governor Bassey Otu, on Monday, in Calabar, the state capital.
