Reports reaching us allege that over 30 youth groups in Central Senatorial District of Cross River State will be endorsing Hon. Oden Ewa (immediate past Commissioner for Special Duties and Chairman of the Cross River State Green Economy Commission) for Senate ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The event, scheduled for Wednesday, May 13, 2026, in Obubra Local Government Area, will also see the groups endorse President Bola Tinubu and Governor Bassey Otu.
Sources say the endorsement is to ensure all the youths rally support and deliver Tinubu, Otu and Ewa in 2027 to Aso Rock, Diamond Hill and Red Chambers.
When contacted on Saturday, Comrade Dan Obo, past youth leader of Obubra and Cross River State, and current Vice President, South-South Nigeria Youth Congress, confirmed the report.
“I am aware. It’ll be holding on Wednesday, May 13, in Obubra. Over 30 youth groups from Central,” Obo said.
Adding, “The endorsement is for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Governor Bassey Edet Otu and Hon. Oden Ewa, for President, Governor and Senate.”
Recall that on April 28, Cross River State Youths in Politics for Good Governance and Leadership, endorsed Hon. Ewa and 13 other aspirants running for various elective political positions in the state.
Converseer reports that Central Cross River is made up of six local government areas, namely: Abi, Boki, Etung, Ikom, Obudu and Yakurr.
