Calabar, Cross River State – The Cross River State Civil Service Commission has completed the shortlisting of applicants for the Civil Service job.
Accordingly, the Commission also said interviews will commence shortly.
“The details of the shortlisted applicants and their interview schedule, showing cadre, date, venue and time will be published by next week,” said Sir Maurice Effiwatt, Chairman of the Cross River State Civil Service Commission, in a statement on Tuesday, November 19, 2024.
Below is a breakdown of the ongoing recruitment into the State Civil Service Summary
Main Service
1. Administrative Officers: Total number of applicants are 7,700 while total shortlisted are 97.
2. Accounting Officers: Total number of applicants are 1,673 while total shortlisted are 98.
3. Planning Officers: Total number of applicants are 1,693 while total shortlisted are 48.
4. Budget Officers: Total number of applicants are 712 while total shortlisted are 43.
5. Procurement Officers: Total number of applicants are 979 while total shortlisted are 42.
6. Statisticians: Total number of applicants are 577 while total shortlisted are 29.
7. Fire Service Officers: Total number of applicants are 1,001 while total shortlisted are 33.
8. Nutrition Officers: Total number of applicants are 1,159 while total shortlisted are 45.
9. Information Officers: Total number of applicants are 1,673 while total shortlisted are 46.
10. Data Processing Officers: Total number of applicants are 1,229 while total shortlisted are 34.
11. Engineers/Technicians: Total number of applicants are 1,240 while total shortlisted are 36.
12. Clerical Officers: Total number of applicants are 8,358 while total shortlisted are 40.
13. Messengers: Total number of applicants are 1,916 while total shortlisted are: 38
14. Security/Watchmen: Total number of applicants are 551 while total shortlisted are 40.
15. Drivers: Total number of applicants are 401 while total shortlisted are 29.
16. Firemen: Total number of applicants are 370 while total shortlisted are 30.
17. Tourism Officers: Total number of applicants are 586 while total shortlisted are 22
In general the total number of applicants for Main Service are 31,818 while the shortlisted are 750.
HEALTH SECTOR
1. Doctors: Total number of applicants are 39 while total shortlisted are 20.
2. Nurses: Total number of applicants are 1,184 while total shortlisted are 90.
3. Pharmacists/Pharmacy Technicians: Total number of applicants are 168 while total shortlisted are 22.
4. Medical Laboratory Scientists: Total number of applicants are 446 while total shortlisted are 31.
5. Public/Community/Environmental Health: Total number of applicants are 300 while total shortlisted are 43.
The total number of applicants for Main Service are 2,137 while the shortlisted are 206.
