LAGOS (CONVERSEER) – The Chairman of the National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN), Cross River State chapter, Emmanuel Olayi, has embarked on a working visit to Lagos State aimed at fostering collaboration on youth development initiatives.

Olayi, who arrived in Lagos on Monday, was warmly received by his Lagos State counterpart, Ibrahim Olalekan Adigun, as part of a four-day official tour.

Engagements with Lagos State Officials

On the first day of the visit, Olayi paid courtesy visits to the Lagos State Commissioner for Youth and Social Development, Mobolaji Ogunlende, and the Permanent Secretary, Oluwatoyin Oke-Osanyintolu.

The meetings featured robust exchanges of ideas and discussions on areas of mutual interest, with a focus on creating joint programmes that will empower young people and promote sustainable social development in both states.

Appreciation and Takeaways

Expressing gratitude to his hosts, Olayi praised the hospitality and energy of Lagos, describing it as “the nation’s number one commercial city.”

“The reception has been exceptional. The warm welcome and shared experiences have enriched this visit, and I am confident the takeaways will translate into actionable results back home in Cross River State,” he said.
