Gov Otu appoints 13 into Governing Board of Cross River State Health Insurance Agency

APPOINTMENT OF GOVERNING BOARD OF CROSS RIVER STATE HEALTH INSURANCE AGENCY (CRSHIA)

In line with the Law number 10 of 2016, which established the Cross River State Health Insurance Agency (CRSHIA), the Governor of Cross River State, His Excellency Senator Bassey Edet Otu has approved the appointment of the Governing Board to carry out the objectives of the law.

According to a statement by Mr Nsa Gill, Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, on Monday, the Governing Board is to serve on a part-time basis according to part 11 of the established law.

The following persons have been so appointed to make up the Governing Board of the CRSHIA:

1. Pastor Dr Mrs Comfort Ekanem – Chairman

2. A Director Representative of the Ministry of Health – Member

3. Representative of the Office of the Head of Service – Member

4. Representative of the Ministry of Economic Planning and Budget (State Planning Commission) – Member

5. Mr Bassey Ita, representing Nigeria Employer Consultative Association — Member

6. Comrade Gregory Olayi, Representing the Organised Labour – Member

7. Mr Stanley Efa, Representing NHIA — Member

8. Representative of the State Primary Health Care Development Agency — Member

9. Chief Godwin lyala, Director General of CRSHIA — Member

10. Dr Samuel Izama Ugar, Representing Public Interest – Member

11. Pastor Orok Bassey Okon, Representing Public Interest – Member

12. Mr Ben Arikpo, Representing CSO — Member

13. Mrs Comfort Victor Ikpeme, Representing CSO — Member.

“The Governing Board will be inaugurated in a date to be announced subsequently,” the statement added.
