David Akate

The new Cross River State Director of Information, Mr David Akate has assumed office.

Akate’s assumption of office follows his redeployment from the Director of Orientation as a result of the retirement of the former State Director, Mrs Anita Ekpenyong.

A letter conveying the redeployment signed by the Director of Administration, Mrs Alice Asu, for the Commissioner, Ministry of Information, Hon. Erasmus Ekpang, indicates that the posting takes effect from Monday, 1st July 2024.

Akate is an astute journalist who has served the State in many capacities including the Director of Information, SEMA; Head of CRBC, Ikom Station; and holds a Cross River State Civil Service Award of Excellence.
