The immediate past Cross River APC Chairman, Alphonsus Ogar Eba Esq., has resigned from the All Progressives Congress.

In a letter addressed to the Secretary of the party in Echumofana Ward in Yala Local Government Area, on May 7, 2026, Eba asked for his name to be delisted from the hard copy and digital register of the party.

According to the letter titled, “Letter Of Withdrawal Of Membership/Request To Delist My Name From The Hard Copy And Digital Register Of APC,” Eba said he’s sought an alternative platform, while appreciating the support, love, and goodwill meted out to him when he was still a member of the party.

The letter which was obtained by Converseer on Friday, read: “I write to inform you that I have withdrawn my membership of All Progressives Congress (APC) and I humbly request that you delist my name from the hard copy and digital register of the party before transmitting same to Independent National Electoral Commission.

“The values of Peace, Love Unity and Growth of APC which I brought into the party as a watchword of my Political Evangelical mission have since been totally eroded, annihilated and jettisoned with jiggery pokery.

“I have, therefore, sought an alternative platform where I can continue my POLITICAL EVANGELISM of Peace, Love, Unity and Growth.

“Permit me to use this medium to express my sincere appreciation for the opportunity and privilege to have served as the State Chairman of the party. I appreciate the support, love, goodwill as well as the ill-will meted out to me.

“I wish the party well.”

The letter was copied to the National Chairman, All Progressives Congress; Head of ICT, APC NAT. Secretariat; Chairman, All Progressives Congress CRS; Chapter Chairman, All Progressives Congress, Yala; and Echumofana Ward Chairman, APC.

Recall that Eba was expelled from the party before the Congress that ushered in new EXCOs in the state.
