The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has reiterated its resolve to partner the Federal Road Maintenance Agency (Ferma) to promote better road safety culture in Cross River state.
The Sector Commander, Corps Commander Joseph W Toby, said this on March 5, when he received in audience, the Federal Road Maintenance Engineer (FRME) Engr. Kufre Nkwa Henshaw in his office in Calabar.
In a press release by the Sector Public Education Officer, SRC Samuel Otih, the Sector Commander had pledged the Command’s continued collaboration particularly in identifying black spots and sharing timely information on issues of mutual interest.
He highlighted the need for continuous education of drivers and other road users on the use of the road and safety practices.
Furthermore, he encouraged FERMA staff to consistently “adhere to traffic regulations, deepen their collaboration with the FRSC and promote better road safety culture”.
The Sector Commander enlightened the FERMA team about FRSC’s products and services, including the FRSC Mobile App, driver’s license,number plates, signages among others.
In her speech, the FRME noted that the visit was to familiarize herself with the command, having just assumed duties in the state as well as explore avenues to synergise with the command, commending the FRSC as one of the nation’s most dutiful uniformed organizations.
She was accompanied on the visit by some top officers of the agency in the state including Engr. Okoduwa Bruno, Engr. Inemesit Udoh, Engr. Koko Asuquo and Mr. Eni Archibong who is in charge of Human Resources.
