Governor Bassey Otu of Cross River State has appointed a commissioner designate, Director-General and Senior Special Adviser, to add to his enormous cabinet.
According to a press release dated July 25, 2026, and signed by Linus Obogo, Chief Press Secretary and Special Adviser on Media and Publicity to the Governor, the appointments are with immediate effect.
Those appointed are Mr Dodeye Arikpo as Commissioner designate, Captain Otu Ita Otu as Director-General on Infrastructure, and Mr Okokon Edem Inyang as Senior Special Adviser on Project Monitoring and Evaluation.
“The appointments take immediate effect and reflect the Governor’s commitment to strengthening governance through competent leadership, effective infrastructure delivery, and robust projet monitoring to accelerate sustainable development across Cross River State,” the statement added.
