By Our Reporter

MAKURDI (CONVERSEER) – The Governor of Benue State, Fr. Hyacinth Alia, has vowed to restore lasting peace in Benue State.

Governor Alia stated this when he received briefing on the deployment and reinforcement of security personnel to troubled areas in Kwande and other affected Local Government Areas across the State.

A statement by the Technical Adviser on Media, Publicity and Strategic Communication, Solomon Iorpev, commended the efforts of security agencies in restoring calm to the affected communities, insisting that perpetrators of insecurity in the State must be brought to justice.

The statement further disclosed that the additional deployment is the best way to decisively clampdown on insecurity.

Governor Alia also emphasised that bandits and all those who seek to disrupt the peace of the State will be hunted down and brought to justice, vowing to protect the people of Benue, their farms, and their communities at all costs.

The Statement noted that the present administration in will not be deterred by resistance from perpetrators of these dastardly acts.
