Governor Otu appoints Iyala, 5 others into State Health Insurance Scheme

Governor Bassey Otu has appointed Dr Godwin Iyala as the Director General of the Cross River State Health Insurance Scheme.

The Governor also appointed five others into the State Health Insurance Scheme.

According to a press release signed by Nsa Gill, Chief Press Secretary to the Governor on Monday, 8th July 2024, Otu appointed Jude Agaji as Director of Operation and Ita Ekeng as Director of Account.

Others are Ibiam Samson Obono as Director of Administration, Dr Joy Iya Benson as Director of Monitoring and Evaluation, and Barr. Henry Evogor as Director of Legal.

In a separate public announcement, Gill said the documentation for Heads and members of Boards and Agencies will hold from Monday 15th to Wednesday 17th July 2024.

“The schedule is simply for the purpose of orderliness and ease of handling for the desk staff,” it added.

Converseer reports that Dr Iyala was the DG of the State Health Insurance Scheme under former Governor Ben Ayade’s administration.
