Gunmen Kill ECWA Pastor in Gombe

Gunmen have k!lled Reverend Bala Galadima, a presiding clergy of the Evangelical Church Winning All in Lubo community, Yamaltu/Deba Local Government Area of Gombe State.

The incident occurred in the early hours of Sunday, February 9, 2025.

Spokesperson of the State Police Command, DSP Buhari Abdullahi, who confirmed the incident said it was a robbery case.

“The issue is a robbery because they entered the house at night and maybe they attempted to rob him,” the PPRO said.

“Unfortunately, from the way he was shot in the back, maybe he was trying to escape, which is natural and normal, and he was shot.”

Abdullahi disclosed that Commissioner of Police, Bello Yahaya, visited the hospital where the body of the deceased was taken and deployed a team of special squad to maintain peace assuring that the culprits would be arrested and made to face the full wrath of the law.

A resident who identified himself as Ahmadu said that the gunmen entered the pastor’s residence from a civil defence personnel compound.

“They first visited the ECWA Church in the community before proceeding to a nearby compound where they stole some money. They didn’t come for the pastor but we learnt he was shot when he peeped on hearing the sound outside. He was shot in the back,” Ahmadu said.
