Suspected terrorists have k!lled a family of five at Lighitlubang village, Bungha District in Mangu Local Government Area of Plateau State.
The victims were attacked by the terrorists while they were asleep on Friday night, January 31, 2025.
One of the villagers, Moses Bankat, who confirmed the incident to Punch said that the assailants killed a man, his wife and their child as well as another couple.
“It happened at about midnight on 31/01/2025. Some suspected Fulani terrorists entered Lighitlubang village in Bungha District of Mangu Local Government and k!lled a family of five—a man, his wife, and child—along with another man and his wife, all slaughtered,” he said.
It was gathered that the attack sent shockwaves through the community, with many residents expressing fear and anxiety.
The spokesman for the Plateau State Police Command, Alabo Alfred, who confirmed the incident said security agents had been deployed to the affected community to maintain peace and order while an investigation had begun.
