Kumawood actress who doubles as a movie producer, Oheneyere Mercy Asiedu, also known as Asabea has eulogized the late Apostle Kwadwo Sarfo.

Among the numerous personalities and bigwigs who took time off their busy schedules to attend the late Kantanka’s funeral was the Kumawood actress, and speaking in an interview with Adom TV, Mercy Asiedu shared what triggered her decision to attend the funeral.

According to the actress cum producer, had it not been Kantanka, she couldn’t have become a woman of substance as she is today, making numerous Ghanaian ladies emulate her.

The actress shared that she met the late Kantanka when she had just started acting, stating that “I remember a time when he was preparing us for a performance at the National Theatre. During rehearsals, I was a bit shy, and he told me not to let anything intimidate me in life, no matter what I was doing.”

The actress disclosed that, as a youngster, she lacked confidence, but the late Kantanka always told her to ‘Believe that you can do it.’ He encouraged us to have a can-do spirit, saying that when you are determined and put your trust in God, He will help you achieve whatever you set your mind to.”

Naming him as her father, Asaabea said that He was the one who raised me when I was young. The impact this man had on my life is about 90 percent, so I have to give him that befitting last respect.”
