Tolu Arokodare registered an assist on his competitive debut as Ajax started the new season with a 2-0 away win at PEC Zwolle, DAILY POST reports.
Arokodare was named among the substitutes to replace Abdellah Ouazane in the 73rd minute.
The Nigeria international then set up Jorthy Mokio for the game’s opening goal three minutes later.
Julian Brandt doubled Ajax’s lead deep into stoppage time with Mika Godts providing the assist.
Arokodare joined the former European champions on a season-long loan from Sky Bet Championship club Wolverhampton Wanderers last month.
Ajax will host Heerenveen in their next league game on Sunday.
Before that, Míchel Sánchez’s side will travel to Dublin for the second leg of their UEFA Europa Conference League third qualifying round second leg tie against Shelbourne.
De Godenzonen won the first leg at the Johan Cruyff Arena 3-1.
