Hon. Henry Njar Anom Elected Chairman of Etung Local Government Area

L-R: Hon. Henry Njar Anom; Assam Amba; and Bity Tangban

Etung, Cross River State – In a decisive victory during yesterday’s local government elections, Hon. Henry Njar Anom was declared the newly elected Chairman of Etung Local Government Area by the Cross River Independent Electoral Commission (CROSIEC).

Hon. Anom was presented with a Certificate of Return, signifying his official appointment to office, in a ceremony attended by local leaders and supporters.

The Certificate of Return was handed to Hon. Anom, who was accompanied by his Vice Chairman, Mr Assam Amba, and Councilor Hon. Bity Tangban, both of whom played key roles in the campaign.

This dynamic team, now entrusted with the leadership of Etung, is seen by residents and stakeholders as committed to fostering growth and security within the local government area.

High Chief Zeal Ejine Ekure, a respected community leader, expressed confidence in the new leadership.

“These elegant and refined gentlemen,” Ekure said, “will surely deliver on their campaign promises. Etung is safe and secure with them.”

The swearing-in is expected in the coming days, marking the beginning of a tenure that promises to prioritise development, security, and prosperity for the people of Etung.
