Following the suspension of Mr Alphonsus Eba as the Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, APC in Cross River State, Mr James Alicha, however, has taken over the mantle in an acting capacity.
In a press statement on Saturday, Alicha who is now the Acting Chairman of APC in Cross River said it is an honour to be found worthy of the position.
He pledged to work with fellow party members to strengthen the party across the state.
“In a moment of gratitude and humility, I extend my sincere appreciation to our amiable Governor, H.E Senator Prince Bassey Edet Otu and the stakeholders of our great party for deeming me worthy to assume the role of Acting State Chairman in Cross River State. This acknowledgement is both an honour and a responsibility that I embrace with dedication and commitment.
“I recognise the trust placed in me by the party, and I assure all party faithful of my unwavering determination to work diligently towards the growth and development of the party in our beloved state.
