The Chairman of the incumbent NDC political party, Asiedu Nketia, widely known as General Mosquito, has boasted that he has never been a wounded lion in an election before.
Asiedu Nketia’s disclosure came during an interview with Ambassador TV, monitored by GH Page, as he stated emphatically, “I don’t remember contesting and losing an election”.
However, the chairman of the NDC noted that, he was involved in an election where there was a run-off because the election was a very competitive one.
Following the run-off, he shared that they had to go for another round, but thinking deeply about things, he decided to step aside for who he labels the elderly person to be crowned the winner.
He said “It was in one instance that there was a run-off, then we had to go for another round, but I decided to sit back and allow the elder with whom I was contesting to take the win”.
According to General Mosquito, He came with the message that he had attended prestigious universities outside the country and was the best representative. I told them to allow the local boy to go so that we would see whether local knowledge would work”.
