Fifteen people were injured and evacuated to Kura General Hospital in Kano State on Sunday morning following a lone crash involving a DAF trailer.
The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Kano Sector Command, said the accident occurred at Gadan Yankifi along the Kano-Zaria Road.
The trailer was conveying both passengers and goods at the time, according to a statement signed by the Sector Public Education Officer, AA Labaran.
The Corps confirmed that no death was recorded during the crash but regretted that the crash caused a temporary obstruction on the affected stretch of road.
To restore traffic flow, the Sector Commander, CC IM Lawal, immediately deployed an FRSC tow truck to clear the wreckage.
The FRSC urged motorists plying the route to reduce speed around the area, obey traffic officers and cooperate with FRSC personnel and other emergency responders at the scene.
