Kanye West’s Yeezy Website Shuts Down Following Controversial Swastika Shirt Sales

Kanye West’s website, Yeezy.com, has gone offline, marking the latest fallout from the controversial artist’s antisemitic and hateful rhetoric.

The website, which recently sold merchandise featuring a swastika, is no longer accessible, following backlash over its content and actions from its host platform.

The website gained attention after Kanye reportedly spent $8 million on a 30-second Super Bowl ad directing viewers to the site. At the time, it was selling a white shirt emblazoned with a black swastika, a move that sparked widespread outrage. The merchandise release followed Kanye’s antisemitic, racist, and misogynistic remarks, during which he called himself a Nazi and expressed admiration for Adolf Hitler.

Shopify, the platform handling Yeezy.com’s sales, quickly severed ties with the site. In a statement, Shopify confirmed the decision, citing violations of its terms of service and stating that Yeezy.com “did not engage in authentic commerce practices.” The host platform has since removed the site entirely.

Despite the controversy, a source told TMZ that Kanye’s Super Bowl ad generated approximately $2 million in sales, selling around 100,000 swastika shirts priced at $20 each. However, reports also revealed that Kanye misled Fox, the broadcaster that aired the ad, by showing a version of the website featuring only regular Yeezy athletic gear during the approval process.

The website shutdown is one of many instances of Kanye losing platforms following his controversial actions. Elon Musk’s platform, X (formerly Twitter), had previously censored Kanye for posting explicit content, and Kanye later deactivated his account. The shutdown of Yeezy.com further isolates the artist, who continues to face backlash for his actions and remarks.
