The Kenyan government has approved a visa-free entry for nationals of all African countries.

Tourists and others are now permitted to visit the East African nation without requiring prior authorization.

In a statement on Friday, the government the Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA) requirement would be abolished for all African countries, except Somalia and Libya over security concerns.

Under the revised system, nationals of most African nations will be allowed to enter and stay visa-free for up to two months.

However, citizens of Uganda, Tanzania, Rwanda, and Burundi will be allowed to stay for up to six months in line with the East African Community policy.

With this development, Kenya has joined the list of African nations offering visa-free entry for nationals of other countries on the continent.
