Kwara gov, AbdulRazaq, sacks advisers, others in “minor cabinet shake-up”

Governor Abdulrahman AbdulRazaq of Kwara State has sacked all his advisers, including his deputy chief of staff and principal private secretary in what has been tagged a “minor cabinet shake-up.

The governor’s deputy chief press secretary, Mashood Agboola made the announcement in a statement on Monday.

The statement stated, “Kwara State Governor, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq has approved a minor cabinet shake-up involving all Special Advisers, Advisers, Senior Special Assistants, and Special Assistants.”

The decision, according to the statement was meant to extend opportunities to more party members and inject fresh energy into the administration. Also affected was the Deputy Chief of Staff and the Principal Private Secretary to the Governor.

The statement said the governor expressed his gratitude to all the appointees for their priceless service to the state and wished them the best in their future endeavours.

The governor directed all the affected appointees to hand over all government’s properties in their custody to the Office of the Secretary to the State Government.
