Lawyer/Activist Ebam arrested for protesting against hunger has been released

Abuja-based Lawyer and Activist, Barr. Maurice Oru Ebam, who was arrested for staging a hunger protest has been released.

According to a source, Barr. Ebam was released on Monday evening after spending time in the Nigeria Police custody.

A source close to him disclosed the release to our newsroom, saying, “He has been released,” adding, “Congratulations to Barr. Maurice Oru Ebam, the voice of a new generation for fighting for our future.”

Recall that Ebam Esq. was arrested by three police earlier on Monday against hunger that is currently biting the nation.

It was reported that Ebam was detained at the Wuse Police Station.

Video footages obtained by Converseer show that Ebam and a group of supporters were peacefully protesting in the streets of Abuja changing “Hunger dey.”
