NEW YORK (CONVERSEER) – Rapper Curtis Jackson, better known as 50 Cent, has once again reignited his long-running feud with music mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs, this time with a satirical letter aimed at the judge handling Diddy’s case.
A day before the court decides whether Diddy will remain in custody or regain his freedom, 50 Cent took to Instagram to post an open letter addressed to Judge Arun Subramanian. In it, he claimed that Diddy remains a danger to the public and should not be released.
“I have had an ongoing dispute with Puffy for over 20 years. He is very dangerous. Multiple times I have feared for my life. I think you should consider the safety of the general public, your honour, before unleashing him upon them,” 50 Cent wrote.
The rapper also mocked reports that prosecutors are recommending more than 11 years in prison for Diddy, while his defence team is pushing for a reduced sentence of about 14 months with time served. He dismissed Diddy’s alleged prison activities, such as teaching a business class titled Free Game with Diddy, claiming the Bad Boy Records founder has not had enough time to truly reform.
Never missing an opportunity for humour, 50 Cent blended parody with pointed commentary, even joking about Diddy’s alleged lifestyle. “Diddy’s only going to return to hiring more male sex workers and keeping most of the baby oil away from the general public. And babies need it!” he wrote, tying the punchline into a plug for his upcoming Netflix documentary on the scandal.
His post also referenced civil rape allegations involving Diddy’s son, Christian Combs, as well as the highly publicised federal raids on Diddy’s properties earlier in the year.
Diddy, who has been in detention for over a year, faces a potentially long sentence. While prosecutors argue for more than a decade behind bars, his legal team continues to fight for a drastically reduced term. The judge’s decision is expected soon.
This latest trolling from 50 Cent highlights not only his signature blend of mockery and provocation but also how deeply rooted his rivalry with Diddy remains in hip-hop culture.
