Governor Otu in a release on Thursday, by his Chief Press Secretary, Nsa Gill, emphasized that their appointments align with his commitment to working with individuals who are tested, trusted, and committed to excellence, noting that both appointees have demonstrated strong character, knowledge, and perseverance in past assignments.

“These offices come with great responsibilities,” the Governor said.

“For the Surveyor General, we are entering a more demanding era in land administration, and I am confident we will overcome any challenges. For the Accountant General, we anticipate increased revenue inflow into the state. The financial future of Cross River is promising, and with your expertise, we will sustain and grow our economic progress. The results of our hard work are already visible. Let the critics speak; we know our direction is sound.”

Secretary to the State Government, Prof. Anthony Owan Enoh, also spoke at the inauguration, expressing confidence in the two officials whose appointments are now substantive.
