Welcome to the LIVE coverage between Argentina vs Cabo Verde, the round 32 knockout match of the 2026 FIFA World Cup, currently being held in the United States, Mexico and Canada.
On paper, Argentina will win the match, but following what we’ve seen so far in this tournament, anything can happen with Cape Verde looking to cause an upset to the World Champions as they did to Spain in their opening group stage match.
If they can cause the upset, Cabo Verde will join the likes of Morocco and Egypt as the few African countries to make it to the round of 16.
Whosoever wins will progress to the round of 16 in the new World Cup format introduced by FIFA in this year’s tournament.
