Man United beat Man City to lift 13th FA Cup

For the second time in history, the FA Cup final featured a Manchester Derby and the 2024 final was won by Manchester United.

The win means Manchester United have won the trophy for the 13th time – in 1909, 1948, 1963, 1977, 1983, 1985, 1990, 1994, 1996, 1999, 2004, 2016, and 2024.

Manchester United on Saturday defeated Manchester City 2-1 at Wembley to end what has been one of the most seasons for them with a silverware.

United opened the scoring in the 30th minute through Alejandro Garnacho after Josko Gvardiol headed the ball backwards which evaded his goalkeeper, Stefan Ortega.

The Red Devils then doubled their league in the 39th minute after Kobbie Mainoo slotted home from Bruno Fernandes’ pass, following a fine move.

The Citizens got a goal back in the 87th minute through substitute Jeremy Doku with an individual brilliance.

Man United held to the 2-1 lead as Man City could not equalise despite 7 minutes of additional time.
