Manchester United football club of England and are close to agreeing a £30m deal to sign Patrick Dorgu from Leece.
The two clubs have been locked in talks since last week over the defender but most of the aspects of the transfer have been agreed in principle and positive talks continued over the structure of the deal.
According to Sky Sport reports Dorgu is set to become Ruben Amorim’s first signing as United manager.
Dorgu, who plays as a left wing-back, wants to join the club , and personal terms have already been agreed.
Since Amorim’s appointment, left wing-back has been circled as the priority position and was the one transfer highly likely to happen in this window regardless of the club’s situation.
Dorgu has made 53 appearances for Lecce in Serie A since joining from Danish club Nordsjaelland in 2022.
The 20-year-old has been capped four times by Denmark.
