Mohamed Salah has finally signed a new deal with Liverpool. The Egyptian winger has put pen to paper on a two-year contract worth 375,000 per week, ending one of the club’s biggest contract sagas of the century. The Premier League club broke a golden rule in offering him a new deal, as Fenway Sports Group are typically reluctant to hand out new contracts to players over 30.  ‘Of course, I’m very excited. We have a great team now. Before also we had a great team. But I signed because I think we have a chance to win other trophies and enjoy my football,’ he told the club website.  ‘It’s great, I had my best years here. I played eight years, hopefully it’s going to be 10. Enjoying my life here, enjoying my football. I had the best years in my career. ‘I would like to say to [the fans], I am very, very happy to be here. I signed here because I believe we can win a lot of big trophies together. Keep supporting us and we’ll give it our best, and hopefully in the future we’re going to win more trophies.’Salah is currently the club’s third top scorer in the club’s history with 243 goals in 394 appearances, having overtaken Billy Liddell and Gordon Hodgson this campaign.97163509 14598261 image a 49 1744355633417 Mohamed Salah signs new £375,000-per-week Liverpool deal to end long contract sagaTo overtake Ian Rush as the all-time top scorer, he will need to bag another 103. His haul of 17 Premier League assists this season is a club record for a single campaign.  During his time at Anfield, Salah has won the Premier League, Champions League, FA Cup, Carabao Cup (twice), UEFA Super Cup, FIFA Club World Cup, and Community Shield. The post Mohamed Salah signs new 375,000-per-week Liverpool deal to end long contract saga appeared first on Linda Ikeji Blog.
