Secretary of the Renewed Hope Grassroots Movement, South-South, Amb. Tony Momoh has commended the governor of Rivers State, Siminalayi Fubara, for embracing the rainbow coalition initiated by the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike.

Momoh said that Fubara took the right step at the right time as campaigns for the 2027 elections will soon begin.

The Renewed Hope Movement chieftain told Saturday Sun that Fubara’s return to Wike’s rainbow coalition would brighten President Bola Tinubu’s chances of winning the presidential election in Rivers State and the South-South.

“I have no doubt that this decision taken by Governor Siminalayi Fubara of Rivers State, will go a long way in strengthening the campaign of the Renewed Hope Grassroots Movement in the South-South for the reelection of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in 2027,” Momoh said.

He explained that Fubara’s return to Wike’s camp by embracing the rainbow coalition and endorsing President Tinubu for a second term in office has permanently laid to rest, the long-drawn disagreement between the governor and his political godfather.

The governor made the declaration at the groundbreaking ceremony for the reconstruction of the Riven Medical Facility, a public-private sector pharmaceutical factory in the state, where he also declared support for the governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state, Kingsley Chinda.

While declaring that the prolonged political crisis in the state had come to an end, the governor urged his supporters to unite behind all candidates presented by the coalition led by Wike.

The FCT Minister, in welcoming Fubara’s back to his political fold, declared that the governor had corrected his past mistakes.
