Morocco Ramps Up Sports Infrastructure Ahead of CAN 2025 and 2030 World Cup

Morocco is accelerating the development of its sports infrastructure as it countdown to CAN 2025.

Moroccan Prime Minister Aziz Akhannouch on Thursday in Rabat, chaired a key meeting of the steering committee overseeing stadium construction and renovation for both events.

according to a government statement,Officials assessed progress on nine stadiums set to host the final stages of CAN 2025, with completion expected between March and August 2025,

The committee also reviewed the construction plans for the Hassan II Stadium in Benslimane, designed to meet FIFA’s highest standards.

This state-of-the-art facility is scheduled for completion by December 2027 and will be among the venues for the 2030 World Cup, which Morocco is co-hosting with Spain and Portugal.
