Mother arrested for allegedly beating up student on school bus

A woman in Indiana has been arrested after she and her two children allegedly attacked an eighth-grade student on a school bus, an incident that was captured in a shocking video.

Latea Hentz, 36, along with her 17-year-old daughter and 13-year-old son, is accused of boarding the bus and assaulting the student, whom they claimed had been bullying her son. Footage of the altercation shows the three throwing multiple punches while one of them shouts at the victim to never touch the son again. Other students on the bus can be heard pleading for them to stop, but the attack continues until they land several blows.

According to local reports, Hentz told police the student had been harassing her son for weeks, and that the school had failed to intervene. She alleged that the day before the attack, the student had slapped her son.

Authorities say the victim was taken to a hospital, where doctors determined he had a fractured nose and a swollen, bruised left eye.

Hentz has been charged with multiple felonies, including criminal confinement, battery resulting in moderate injury, intimidation, and criminal trespass. Her children are also facing undisclosed charges. There has been no response from Hentz regarding the incident.
