The Nigerian currency, the naira made a slight recovery against the American dollar at the official window on Monday, March 24, 2025.
According to the Central Bank of Nigeria, Foreign exchange data, it showed that the naira appreciated to N1, 531.19/$1 on Monday from N1, 536.89/$1 it traded on Friday last week.
This indicates that the naira appreciated by N5.70 against the dollar on a day-to-day basis.
On the black market, the naira traded at N1, 570/$1 as against the N1, 590/$1 the previous day. This represents a gain of N20 for the local currency.
The naira gained N20 against the British Pound to trade at N2,020/£1 as against the previous day’s rate of N2,040£1..
The Canadian Dollar still held steady at N1, 200/CA$1.
The naira gained N10 against the Euro to trade at ₦1,700/€1 as against the previous day’s rate of ₦1,710/€1.
