The new speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Mojisola Lasbat Meranda, held a prayer session this morning as she officially moved into the office of the Speaker at Lagos State House of Assembly Complex.
Mojisola Meranda emerged as the new Speaker of the Assembly following the impeachment of Mudashiru Obasa over gross misconduct and abuse of office.
This comes two days after the impeached speaker of the Lagos state House of Assembly, Mudashiru Obasa, faulted his impeachment by fellow lawmakers.
During a welcome event hosted in his honour by supporters from Agege, Alimosho, and Kosofe local government areas in Ikeja GRA, the embattled lawmaker denied the allegation of mismanagement of funds and challenged lawmakers to prove the allegations they made against him. Read previous report here.
