Nigeria is too big for Tinubu – Dino Melaye

By Frank Ulom

ABUJA (CONVERSEER) – Former Senator representing Kogi West Senatorial District, Sen. Dino Melaye, has asserted that Nigeria is too big for President Bola Tinubu to govern.

Melaye stated this at the weekend while lamenting on the economic situation of the nation.

According to him, Tinubu has no capacity or leadership skills, and so, he should not be given a second term.

He likened giving Tinubu a second term to giving a 5-year-old a jet to fly.

“Nigeria is too big for Tinubu. He has no capacity, no leadership skill.

“Giving him a second term is like giving a 5-year-old the key to a jet. That will be irresponsible and dangerous, ” Melaye said.

He also said he will not vote for Tinubu in 2027 because he lied.

“Mr President. I will do exactly what you requested. I will not vote for you because you lied. You did not keep your promise. You are reversing Nigeria,” Melaye stated while reacting to Tinubu’s previous statement where he said no one should vote for him if he doesn’t give the nation 24 hours of daily electricity.

Recall that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has fixed the timetable for the 2027 general elections, and endorsements are flying everywhere for the President to return for a second term.
