Nigerian married woman living in Germany explains why she doesn’t want kids (video)

in News

A Nigerian married woman, Olawande, residing in Germany, has revealed she doesn’t want kids and gave reasons for her decision.

In a video she posted online, the married woman said she has been married for three years now and has been constantly asked by her family and friends when she and her better half will be having kids. She mentioned that she loves kids and find them amazing and even cute when a person can return them to their parents. She said the reviews she gets from women with kids saddled with financial burden, stress and sacrifice formed her opinion about kids.

As women, we sacrifice a lot fpor our marriage especially when we have kids. Lets be honest, people don’t just have kids because of the joy they bring but because they feel obligated to societal pressure and family expectations. In many cultures, especially the religious ones, women are raised to believe that their life purpose is motherhood. It is not even a choice, it is what you do and I am not one to follow outdated societal expectation. This is the 21st century, women should be allowed to make their own decisions.”

Watch a video of her speaking below…
