See their list of legal team and let me tell you about two wolves inside.
Tony Adinye Esq, is a former DG of Cross River State Pollution Control Agency, under Governor Ayade, who maliciously used a truck load of Policemen to brutalize a street orange seller and her daughter in Calabar and charged the woman to court on trumped up charges of attacking and attempting to kill him while Tony himself was on trial for forging documents and selling someone’s land in Calabar. He is still being prosecuted by the State Director of Public Prosecution. He was also sacked from a law firm he worked in Calabar for collecting illegal levies from an indigent client.
Joe Abang, is a former Attorney General of Cross River State under Governor Ayade. The Legal Practitioners Disciplinary Committee (LPDC) ordered his removal from the roll of legal practitioners in the country in 2021. The legal body gave the order after it found that the former AG engaged in an “infamous conduct”.
It ordered that Joe Abang, should no longer enjoy the status of a legal practitioner or accorded audience in that capacity following a complaint that was lodged against him by the Incorporated Trustees of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA).
The NBA, in the complaint it entered before the LPDC on June 26, 2020, noted that Unity Bank Plc had engaged Abang as a lawyer to help it to recover a debt it was owed by Bilwadams Construction Company Nigeria Limited.
The construction firm which was a customer of the bank was said to have been indebted to the defunct Bank of the North and Intercity Bank Plc (some of the legacy banks that merged and formed Unity Bank Plc).
According to the NBA, despite the instruction of the bank to the effect that recovered sums should be paid directly into its accounts, the respondent, diverted the sum of N6,666,666.66 he recovered on October 29, 2010, into his own personal account and never remitted same to the bank.
It alleged that the respondent also received another N66,666,666 in 2012, but never remitted same to the bank.
These are the shady characters that are comprising the legal team of NORTHCCO, a group that claims they want to change Cross River North.
Number 9 on the list, Cecilia Oshie, is the daughter of the debarred former Attorney General of the State, Joe Oshie Abang. Father and daughter in the same legal committee. Both of them plus Tony Adinye, are all from Mbube in Ogoja.
Avoid that group of former and immediate failures.
