The Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL, has challenged clubs to improve their digital platforms ahead of the 2026-27 season.

The league body warns that non-compliance clubs risk missing sponsorship opportunities.

The NPFL Chief Operating Officer, Davidson Owunmi disclosed this at a digital and marketing seminar in Enugu.

Owunmi offered a N100,000 reward to any club with a functional website containing comprehensive statistics from the just-concluded season, including player profiles, goals, match records and attendance figures.

“Our Gen Z audience lives online,” Owunmi stated the seminar.

“If clubs are absent from the digital space, they cannot reach young fans, attract sponsors or benefit from e-commerce opportunities.”
