Nsibiet John Beats 3 Others to Emerge Chairman at NUJ Polls in A’Ibom

Comrade Nsibiet John defeated three others on Saturday to win the Chairmanship position at the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Akwa Ibom State Council polls in Uyo.

The election was conducted to elect new executives for the state council of the union at the Press Centre, Uyo..

ComradebJohn won by 556 votes against his closest rivals, Comrade Nene Affia (92 votes),
Effiong Edet (21 votes), and Esther Effiong (4 votes) respectively.

The Vice-Chairmanship position was won by Margerate Moore while Comrade Nsikak Esenowo emerged as the new Secretary.

The positions of the council’s Financial Secretary, Treasurer, Auditor, and Assistant Secretary were returned unopposed.
