Omini appointed Cross River RTIFN youth director

By Frank Ulom

CALABAR (CONVERSEER) – Hon. (Obol) Cyril Omini, Member representing Yakurr I State Constituency in the Cross River State House of Assembly, has been appointed Cross River State Director of Youth Mobilisation for the Relax Tinubu Is Fixing Nigeria (RTIFN) movement.

The appointment was announced by the Founder-in-Chief of the group, Barr. Seyi Tinubu, alongside the National Coordinator, Hon. Ahmed Bala, and the State Coordinator, Engr. Anjor Obande.

In a statement posted on his official Facebook page, on Friday, Omini described the appointment as a call to greater responsibility and service.

“Pleased to announce my appointment as the Cross River State Director of Youth Mobilization for RTIFN (Relax Tinubu Is Fixing Nigeria). We’ve moved from promises to progress and now it’s about action. To the Youth of Cross River State, this is our chance to be part of the solution,” he stated.

The lawmaker said youth participation remains central to sustainable development, noting that young people form a significant demographic whose energy and innovation must be harnessed for the advancement of Cross River State and Nigeria.

He pledged to prioritise inclusivity, engagement and grassroots mobilisation, adding that his leadership would create opportunities for youths to contribute meaningfully to governance and policy discussions.

Omini further urged young people across the state to sustain support for the Federal Government led by Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the Cross River State administration under Bassey Otu.

He stressed that cooperation and unity remain vital to delivering the dividends of democracy beyond 2027.

According to him, RTIFN offers a platform to amplify youth voices while strengthening confidence in ongoing reforms and development initiatives at both the federal and state levels.

Political observers, supporters and stakeholders have since congratulated the Yakurr I lawmaker, describing his appointment as strategic. They cited his grassroots connection and consistent advocacy for youth empowerment as qualities that could strengthen the RTIFN movement in Cross River State.
