On Governor Umo Eno’s wardrobe allowance for teachers

Governor Umo Eno has announced a one-time dress allowance for all local teachers in Akwa Ibom State’s schools, aimed at enhancing their professional appearance, boosting their confidence, and creating a conducive learning environment for students. This initiative is a testament to the administration’s dedication to enhancing the quality of education in the state.

During the recent commissioning of a model Primary School in Uyo, Governor Umo Eno declared, “I will pay a one-time dress allowance to all local teachers in our schools so that they can appear well, look good, and have confidence while teaching our young people.”

He directed the Commissioner for Education to provide the number of primary school teachers, paving the way for the disbursement of the allowance.

By providing this allowance, Governor Umo Eno’s administration is investing in the well-being and dignity of teachers, acknowledging their hard work and dedication to educating the next generation of leaders.
