Osun election: Till we meet again APC, rest in peace — Dino Melaye – The Sun Nigeria

Former Kogi State governorship candidate, Dino Melaye, has reacted to the outcome of the Osun State governorship election, mocking the All Progressives Congress (APC) and President Bola Tinubu over the party’s performance.

Melaye, in a post on his X page, claimed that the APC had been defeated in the election despite the backing of 34 governors, Senate President and Tinubu.

He also described the outcome as a major setback for the ruling party, particularly because Osun is considered an ancestral state of President Tinubu.

“Till we meet again APC. Rest in Peace. 34 Governors, Senate President and Tinubu defeated. Odabo Tinubu…ancestral State lost,” Melaye wrote.

The former lawmaker’s comment came after the conclusion of the Osun governorship election, in which the incumbent governor, Ademola Adeleke, secured re-election.

Melaye’s statement appeared to celebrate Adeleke’s victory while taking a swipe at the APC and its leadership over the outcome of the poll.
