A House of Representatives candidate for the Ifelodun, Boripe and Odo-Otin Federal Constituency, Francis Eniade, was on Wednesday left in a poll of blood after he was attacked barely two days before the Osun governorship election.

The Speaker of the Osun State House of Assembly, Adewale Egbedun, was fingered as the alleged attacker.

A viral picture released on X on Wednesday showed Eniade of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in a pool of blood.

According to claims making the rounds, Eniade was injured during the attack alongside several others.

An X user confirming the incident wrote on Wednesday: “Speaker Wale Egbedun just attacked Eniade. Dozens were injured, and several cars were destroyed. Where are the so-called neutrals to condemn this?”

However, the Osun State Police Command is yet to confirm the development as of the time of filing this report.
