PDP fixes new date for LG Congress in Cross River

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has fixed Saturday, 17th August 2024, as the new date for the Local Government Congress in Cross River State.

This was disclosed by a statement with reference number Ref: PDP/DOM/GF.2/VOL.IF/ 24-165, signed on 7th August by Venatius Ikem, PDP Chairman in the state.

According to the statement, the reason for rescheduling the LG Congress is due to unforeseen circumstances.

“Please refer to our earlier letter to you with Ref: PDP/DOM/GF.2/VOL.IF/ 24-069, in which we notified you of the Notice of our Timetable and Schedule of Activities for Year 2024 Congresses for the purpose of Electing the Executives of our Party.

“This is to officially inform you that due to unforeseen circumstances, the scheduled LGA Congresses for the purpose of electing our Local Government Executive Committee Members and National Delegates have been rescheduled to now hold in your State on SATURDAY, AUGUST 27, 2024,
