Disturbing photos and text messages released in the ‘treadmill case’ where a New Jersey father is accused of killing 6-year-old Corey Micciolo.
Christopher Gregor reportedly first met his son when he was 5 years old.
After their first meeting, Corey returned home with a busted lip which Gregor blamed on a soccer ball.
New text messages show the boy’s mother Breanna Micciolo confronting Gregor about some of the abuse.
In one of the text messages, Gregor appeared to defend his abuse and said the boy needed to be tougher and not emotional.

Disturbing photos show Corey’s bruised body including an image of a bruise on his forehead.
The mother reported the injuries to a caseworker at the New Jersey Division of Child Protection and Permanency.
Corey died one day after courts rejected an emergency filing from the mother seeking full custody of her son.
