Ghanaian Prophet Ebo Noah Arrested After False “End of World” Christmas Prediction

By Our Reporter

ACCRA (CONVERSEER) – Self‑styled prophet Evans Eshun, better known as Ebo Noah, has been arrested by the Ghana Police Service following weeks of controversy over his widely publicised prophecy that the world would end on Christmas Day, 25 December 2025.

Police confirmed that Eshun was taken into custody on 31 December 2025 by the Inspector General of Police’s Special Cyber Vetting Team as part of investigations into his online activities and public statements, which authorities said had the potential to cause fear and disrupt public order.

Ebo Noah rose to prominence in mid‑2025 after claiming in viral videos that he had received a divine vision of a catastrophic global flood beginning on Christmas Day. He urged followers to repent and gathered supporters around wooden structures he described as “arks” built to save believers from the deluge.

When no flood occurred on the appointed date, Ebo Noah released new footage claiming his prayers and fasting had persuaded God to postpone the disaster.

His decision to appear on stage at a major concert on Christmas, telling people to celebrate the postponement, drew widespread criticism.

Reports suggest that hundreds of people, including some from neighbouring countries, travelled to his ark sites in anticipation of the predicted catastrophe, raising safety concerns among authorities.

At the time of arrest, officials had not publicly disclosed formal charges or scheduled a court date.

The case has reignited debate in Ghana about the responsibilities of religious figures and how governments should handle sensational prophetic claims in the age of social media.
