The incident has drawn outrage, with reports that the driver, Biola Adams-Odutayo, allegedly hesitated to help the critically injured Teejay, citing concerns about staining her car. Opayele was eventually pronounced dead after hours of unsuccessful attempts to obtain urgent medical care.
